Fabulous Finale of a Fine YearAICI NY Tri-State Chapter held our season finale on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 (6:30 pm - 9:00 pm, North Star Fund, Inc., BK Memorial Conference Room, 520 Eighth Avenue, New York City). We celebrated The Ones have it: 2011 - A look back and a look ahead, showcasing a slide show presentation of the year's accomplishments in review, Chapter Member of the Year Award honoree Pamela Judd, and the 2011/2012 board induction ceremony. AICI 2011 Annual Conference was held May 19-22 (Peabody Orlando, 9801 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819 USA). The conference included an outstanding line-up of presenters, workshops and breakout sessions to choose for both first timers and seasoned professionals. Topics included: working with the media, branding, men's image, technology, social media, accessorizing, and much more! Board Gives Back:
AICI NYTS Board of Directors presented a workshop to the clients of Bottomless Closet on May 11th. As part of our philanthropic initiatives for the AICI Gives Back program, we enjoyed sharing social media, wardrobe and job search insights with these deserving women. We are in our second consecutive year supporting Bottomless Closet, an organization that promotes professional advancement and career development for women in New York City. |

14th Annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk
AICI NYTS and Gilda's Club, our philanthropic partner, joined forces on Saturday, April 30th (morning, 45th Street and 7th Avenue, New York City) to make a difference in the fight against cancer. |
New Jersey Fashion Week March MixerWe joined in the glamour and red carpet fanfare at the New Jersey Fashion Week March Mixer held on Friday, March 25th (6PM-10PM, 6PM, Chandelier Room, W Hotel, 225 River Street, Hoboken, NJ). Photographers captured appearances by the cast of Jerseylicious, pageant contestants, retired NBA player- Eric Williams, Eric Kelly- Olympic boxer, Jersey Couture cast, and special celebrity co-hosts, Tom Murro from Magnet.com and Kim Grantell from Bravo’s Housewives of New Jersey. New York Tri-State Chapter Student Image Award Announcement CeremonyAICI NY Tri-State Chapter announced the granting of our Student Image Award representing our commitment to education and training of image consultants during a special ceremony on Monday, March 21st (4PM-5:45PM, The Fashion Institute of Technology, 7th Avenue & 27th Street, Reeves Conference Center). This annual gift will be shared with two outstanding students who have completed the Image Consulting Professional Development Certificate Program. Education Day 2011: Empower Your Company BrandAICI NY Tri-State Chapter held Education Day on January 29, 2011 (9AM-5PM, The Fashion Institute of Technology, 7th Ave. at 27th St., New York City) featuring an easy step-by-step program to up-level your business. "Empower Your Company Brand” presented by pioneer and visionary innovator Sarah Hathorn, AICI CIP, CPBS, is tailored for your image business model– one-on-one, group or corporate. Participants earned 0.6 CEU's and left knowing how to break through limiting blockages to achieve extraordinary results, and somersault challenges (e.g. economic conditions, etc.) into opportunities, and much more.
